No on 2117 Campaign Reaches 70,200 Voters Across 67 Washington Cities at Summer Weekend of Action Events

No on 2117 Campaign Mobilized More Than 1,060 Volunteer Shifts Across Three Weekends in Late August and Early September

September 9, 2024 – No on 2117 (no2117.com), the campaign to defeat Initiative 2117, celebrated the final of three Summer Weekends of Action this weekend with events across the state, including in Edmonds, Bainbridge Island, Bellingham, Spokane, and Seattle. At these events, campaign staff and volunteers engaged voters to raise awareness about the dangerous, deceptive I-2117.

Across all three Summer Weekends of Action in August and September, No on 2117 reached 70,200 voters across 67 Washington cities and towns. The campaign organized over 1,060 volunteer shifts across Washington state.

The final Summer Weekend of Action follows No on 2117 launching the first ad of its campaign: “Ripple Effect.” The ad, which highlights how I-2117 would mean more air and water pollution and gut investments in Washington’s transportation system, is backed by a six-figure buy and is running on broadcast and cable stations for two weeks.

“Firefighters, doctors, Tribal leaders, small business owners, and volunteers across the state are coming together to say no to I-2117, a deceptive initiative that threatens our health and our transportation system. From now until Election Day, we will do everything we can to make sure Washingtonians across our state understand the costs of I-2117 to their community: More pollution and more traffic,” said Wellesley Daniels, Campaign Manager, No on 2117.
