Key Volunteer Positions

Position Summary

The No on 2117 campaign is seeking experienced and motivated volunteers to manage community-based campaign activities to defend Washington state’s leading-edge climate policy. The campaign is supported by environmental and business leaders, labor unions and environmental justice advocates, Tribal Nations, and many others.

Local coordinators will be responsible for executing a robust neighbor to neighbor campaign working closely with other volunteer team leads and campaign organizers.

County/LD Volunteer Team Coordinator(s)

This position will likely take up to 10 hours a week. We are seeking to secure a coordinator(s) in every county in the state. In larger counties including King, Snohomish, and Pierce we seek to have a coordinator(s) in most legislative districts. County/LD Coordinators may work to:

  • Assist in developing the local campaign plan
  • Assist with recruiting and training volunteers to lead all aspects of the local campaign plan
  • Manage local coalition meetings (every other week, moving to every week if necessary)
  • Collaborate with organizing teams from partner campaigns and coordinated campaign offices
  • Utilize your unique skills in implementing the overall plan
  • Monitor local opportunities for in-person campaign activities

These volunteer leads will play a crucial role in helping with certain aspects of the neighbor to neighbor campaign and will likely take about 5 – 10 hours a week.

  • Leaflet/ Doorbell Coordinator
  • Phone/text bank Coordinator
  • Postcard Coordinator
  • Youth Coordinator
  • Earned media coordinator – letters to the editor and social media
