Fundraising Associate

Position Summary

The No on 2117 campaign is seeking an experienced and motivated fundraising associate to manage community-based fundraising events, manage call time with campaign leadership and work with political leaders who are fighting to defend Washington state’s leading-edge climate policy. The campaign is supported by environmental and business leaders, labor unions and environmental justice advocates, Tribal Nations, and many others.

The Fundraising Associate will be responsible for helping to raise funds from across the state. They will work closely with an extensive and diverse coalition and fundraising consultant to achieve the campaigns fundraising goals. The position will report to the Finance Consultant. The position will require campaign hours, including evenings and weekends, and is based in Washington state. The fundraiser will have to work in person.

What You Will Do
  • Work to develop fundraising targets.
  • Staff leadership during call time.
  • Work to organize fundraisers in 5-6 communities across the state.
  • Work closely with the outreach team, local leaders and coalition partners to follow-up on potential donations,
  • Build and maintain relationships with donors.
  • Analyze data to expand our donor base.
What You Bring

Qualified candidates must be highly organized, able to multitask and manage multiple deadlines, and able to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. An ideal fundraising associate will have:

  • At least 1 cycle of campaign fundraising experience or equivalent experience
  • Familiarity with NGP and Excel
  • Strong research skills
  • Familiarity with other campaign software (Google Suite, Mobilize, texting platforms, Every Action, Action Network, relational organizing apps, etc.)
  • Quick problem-solving skills and a solution-oriented mindset
  • A growth mindset and ability to take and implement feedback
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines at once and keep calm in stressful situations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Reliable transportation
  • Willingness to work in person
Compensation and Benefits

Salary: $5,000 to $5.500 per month
Benefits: Health care and paid sick leave. Additional incentives and benefits may be available.
