No on 2117 Now Airing TV Ads Across State
September 19, 2024 – No on 2117 today released the fourth ad of the campaign to defeat deceptive Initiative 2117. The ad highlights how I-2117 will mean more traffic by gutting investments in Washington’s transportation system, including one-third of the funding for the state’s transportation funding plan.
The 30-second ad is backed by a six-figure buy and will run on broadcast and cable stations for two weeks in the Seattle market, which stretches from Whatcom County in the north and Lewis County in the south, and from the Olympic Peninsula east to Douglas County.
With the launch Tuesday of two new ads — “At Risk” and “Your Child” — that are airing in the Yakima-Richland-Pasco-Kennewick, Southwest Washington, and Spokane markets, the No on 2117 campaign is now airing television ads across the state.
Over 475 organizations and Tribal Nations oppose I-2117 and have endorsed the No on 2117 campaign, including firefighters, small business owners, doctors, nurses, and public health leaders, labor unions, environmental groups, and community groups. I-2117 would slash funding for our state’s transportation system. That would put road projects at risk of delay or cancellation, reduce public transit service, cut funding for new ferries, and make traffic worse.
